Paul Graham wrote a nice article about becoming “Ramen Profitable” in a startup. You can read the whole article here. Basically, the concept is that a startup is bringing in enough revenue to cover costs and there is enough profit left over to cover the living expenses of the founders.

Right now, there is only one founder of my company. If all goes according to plan, I hope to hit the Ramen Profitable milestone within the next eight weeks (four weeks if I am aggressive). The last push before launch will be the hardest because I need to contract out some work which means I will be depending on somebody else’s work before I can launch.

That being said, I’m off to work.
